Cloudpoint invited Local Government employees from all over Wisconsin to attend our latest GIS Solutions Showcase, held right outside Madison. A lively group gathered with plenty of familiar faces, and plenty of new ones!
Our estimable colleagues from Esri, Jarod Fox and Chad Anderson, graced up with their presence and knowledge of the ArcGIS platform and the real-world benefits that it can bring to Local Governments of all sizes.
Jim Landwehr, former LIO for Waukesha County, now consulting part-time for Cloudpoint and our Wisconsin clients, proved in his own words, you “can continue to teach old dogs new tricks.”
Presentations ranged from Winter Weather Operations, to getting paper records and workflows into a digital format for use in GIS, and tips and tricks on setting up and collecting data with some of Trimble’s latest technology.
As always, the crew had a fantastic time teaching, interacting, and passing along knowledge about GIS and how Local Governments can utilize it to the fullest extent possible.
